Biography
George W. Allman, M.D., F.A.C.S., is an Assistant Professor in the UCSF Department of Surgery and is board certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery. Dr. Allman performs surgery at the UCSF Medical Center as a member of the Surgical Hospitalist Program and Thoracic Oncology Program.
Dr. Allman received his M.D. from University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia . He completed general surgery residencies at Goulburn Base Hospital, Prince Henry Hospital, in Sydney, Australia, University of Chicago, and a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.He also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Harvard Medical School.
As a general surgeon, Dr. Allman is performs surgeries to treat diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and abdomen, both benign and malignant conditions. As a thoracic surgeon, Dr. Allman treats patients with diagnosed with lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mediastinal tumors, mesothelioma, and other thoracic malignancies.
Dr. Allman is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of numerous professional organizations.
