Biography
Jane Lee, MSN, AGACNP-BC, BSN, RN, is an inpatient acute care nurse practitioner in Cardiothoracic Surgery here at UCSF.
After completing her first bachelor's degree at UCLA, Jane made a career change towards wanting to become a nurse practitioner. This led her to her journey of applying to nursing schools and she subsequently found herself at the University of Missouri Columbia in which she completed her second bachelor's degree in nursing. It was during this time that she discovered her love and passion for cardiac surgery.
While in the Midwest, Jane worked in the cardiothoracic ICU as a bedside nurse at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO. After working as a bedside nurse for a few years, Jane decided to apply to graduate school in order to become a nurse practitioner. She completed her master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania and became an acute care nurse practitioner.
In 2015, Jane joined the inpatient staff at UCSF as a cardiothoracic surgery NP where she is happily practicing and loves what she does which is managing cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in the ICU and in the acute care setting.
