In recognition of Ramin E. Beygui.โ€™s professionalism, excellence, dedication, and contribution to the teaching of the Thoracic Surgery Residents, Dr. Beygui was selected to receive the UCSF Thoracic Surgery Residency Program Teaching Award for AY20-21.

Ramin E. Beygui, MD, MSc, FACS has concurrently joined the UCSF School of Medicine Faculty in the division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and assumed the position of medical director of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Washington Hospital Health System. Dr. Beygui has practiced cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery at UCLA and Stanford University Medical Centers before joining UCSF Faculty. He is practicing the entire scope of his experience and expertise. This includes the repair of aortic aneurysms and dissections, minimally invasive and open cardiac surgery for structural heart disease and coronary disease, minimally invasive surgery for atrial fibrillation, and cardiopulmonary transplantation. He has served as the director of Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm at UCLA, the surgical director of Lung and Heart-Lung Transplantation at Stanford University Medical Center and Lucile Packard Childrenโ€™s Hospital, and Medical Director of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at NorthBay Medical Center.
